**Responsabilités du poste**:
- The main mission of optical design department is to provide a continuous output of advanced optical design calculation technologies and innovative and differentiated lens designs. Objectives of the activities are the translation of the product needs into technical specification and the design of optical solutions using internal tools for optical simulation or calculation, organized according to programs or project involving pluridisciplinay team.
- Also, new product conception must to integrate some knowledge about consumers, their behavior and needs on one side, and on performance analyses of the existing lens solutions thanks to real life test or optical simulation tools on the other side. Collecting or generating data, then exploiting them will help to create new models for recommand or create new designs.
- Challenges are to learn science related to vision and incorporate this new knowledge in defining solutions.
- The success factors are short integration into the team, understand the calculation and simulation tools and the use of them, the ability to deliver design solutions according to specifications and that perform according to the expectations.
- La missions principale du département design optique et de fournir continûment des nouvelles technologies de calcul de design optique et des designs de verres innovants et différentiés.
- Les activités auront principalement pour object la traduction des besoins produits en spécifications techniques et la conception de designs optiques au moyen d’outils internes de simulations et de calcul optiques, organisées selon des programmes ou projets faisant intervenir des équipes pluridiciplinaires.
- Aussi, la création de nouveaux produits s’appuie en amont sur l’intégration de connaissances des consommateurs, de leurs comportements et de leurs besoins d’une part, et sur l’analyse des performances des verres actuels grâce à des tests en vie réélle ou à l’utilisarion d’outils de simulations optiques d’autre part. Le recueil ou la génération de ces données, puis leurs exploitations permetront de créer des modèles de recommandation ou de création de nouveaux designs.
- Les challenges sont de monter en compétence en science relative à la physion et d’incorporer ses nouvelles connaissances dans la définition des solutions.
- Les facteurs de succès seront l’intégration rapide à l’équipe, la compréhension des outils de calcul et de simulation et leurs utilisations, la capacité à fournir des solutions de verre répondants aux spécifications et qui donneront des résultats en lien avec les attentes.
Projets
- Propose and deliver new individualized lens design / Proposer et délivrer de nouveaux designs individualizés
- Provide optical simulations / Fournir des simulations optiques
- Develop and implement new bricks/models for lens design with Artificial Intelligence / Developper et implementer de nouvelles briques/modèles pour concevoir des designs avec l’IA
- Manage upstream projects / Piloter des projects amont.
**Profile recherché**:
- Educational Background in **Optics, lens design **and ideally additionally** **in** ophthalmic optics, optometry,**:
- Strong skills in **programming/computation**, Python, ideally Lua language, incl. integrated notions of **software quality**:
- Ideally a **first experience in lens design, **lens design** software tool **(Zemax)
- Having experience with implementing and using some **Artificial Intelligence** technologies (Machine Learning),
- Formation en **optique, conception optique** et idéallement en plus en **optique ophtahlmique, optometrie**:
- Fortes compétences en **programmation**, langage Python, idéallement Lua, et intégrant les notions de **qualité logicielle**,
- Idéallement une **experience en conception de verre**, utilisation de **logiciel de conception** (Zemax)
- Ayant plusieurs expériences d’implémentation et d’utilisation de technologies **d’Intelligence Artificielle** (Machine Learning)
