Research Engineer in Additive Manufacturing

You will join the Automotive Steel Solutions Design department within the Research centre. You will develop competencies and contribute to the development and the engineering of components for the automotive & mobility market by considering additive manufacturing technologies.
You will be responsible of:
- Research project management and CAE studies
- Management of partners and/or sub-contractors
Within a team, you will participate to research projects aiming at developing steel components for new vehicle structure lightweighting and passive safety, especially for the automotive market.
- Analysis of additive manufacturing potential for structural components
- Participation to research projects on Design and engineering of steel solutions
- Participation to multidisciplinary projects (reverse engineering, methodology development, product, process, testing,)
- CAD development based on part requirements and additive manufacturing technologies
- Finite Element Analysis, simulations and optimization with software such as Hypermesh, Optistruct and LSDYNA (Crash)
- Management of partners and/or subcontractors providing results to the project.
- Participation to Creativity and Quality processes
**Job requirements**:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PhD or first experience in the filed of additive manufacturing requested
- Mechanical Engineering background with experience in structure engineering
- Knowledge in Finite Element simulation softwares such as PAMCRASH/LSDYNA/RASIOSS, NASTRAN, Hyperworks
- High level in communication skills, innovation oriented
- Advanced English level
- Experience in automotive industry or design house working for would be a plus
- Knowledge in material science is an advantage
- German speaker appreciated
