**Job Description (Posting)**
We are looking for an SQL DBA Consultant L2 with SSIS/SSRS to join our teams working onsite at our client from the Aerospace Industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with a multifunctional team.
- Support DBA Activities associated with SQL Server 2 Ability to lead projects / project team with little oversight 3 Technical guidance to L1/L2/L3 on project 4 Escalation for L1/L2/L3 on project.
- Experience of 8 to 10 years in SQL DBA Administration
- Strong SQL Skills - Installing and upgrading SQL servers; database engine; SSRS; SSIS; SSAS
- Supporting the On-prem and Azure DBs
- Should have Hands-On Exp on Azure PAAS SQL servers
- Experience with SQL migrations and build outs in the cloud Azure
- Strong troubleshooting skills as it relates to SQL Server
- Strong understanding of VMWare and virtualization technologies is a plus 8 Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the underlying SQL architecture and features
- High energy, proactive and approachable personality who enjoys solving diverse problems
- Proven problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
- Ability to positively interact with all members of development team and product teams
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented development theory
- Owner database related problems; pursue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Open, manage, escalate, and resolve Support Requests with Microsoft and other vendors
- Learn and stay current on the features and functionality of all databases supported by the team
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards
- Provide inputs for status reports
- Manage/Solve issues in alignment with the Business SLAs
- Establish/maintain communication with customers.
- Follow release management, change management and quality assurance standards
- Assistance to DR teams.
- Deploy relevant reports across the enterprise through Report Server and SharePoint.
- Respond to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports.
- Translate business requirements into specifications to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
- Provide ITIL-based Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) knowledge and expertise (preferred).
- Collaborate with internal QA on user acceptance testing.
Job Requirements
- Willing to learn new technologies like Mongo, DB, Postgress, Sybase DB2 etc.
- Good understanding and ability to articulate the infrastructure/ working of DB servers
- Ex. All the steps and resources involved in adding, updating or fetching a record from DB
- Experienced in troubleshooting uncommon issues
- Experienced in usual DBA activities (including but not limited to)
- Backup and restore
- Creation of new DBs
- Solving user access issues
- DB refresh
- DB patching
- Navigating through files/folders in Windows/Unix/Linux clusters, always on environments.
Additional areas of knowledge
- Cloud concepts, Azure,
- Advanced problem solving skills,
- Scripting knowledge/experience,
- Experience in working in a large organization, a good sense of organizing and working structured, good at documentation and report writing.
- English fluent, French a plus
