**Position Summary**:

- The Raw Materials (RM) Global Category Leader role is at the core of Infineum’s Procurement process and is an exciting and truly cross-functional opportunity to make a discernible impact to Infineum’s bottom line and contribute to long term strategies. As a member of the Global Procurement team, the Global RM Category leader has 3 major responsibilities:

- Provide effective leadership for Global Raw Material Category, linking the external marketplace with internal business needs through development and execution of a category sourcing strategy.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, develop and execute strategic account plans. Represent Infineum as the owner of the supplier interface and effectively negotiate contracts across all materials in the category by understanding the marketplace drivers as well as Infineum leverage.
- Ensure compliance to operational integrity procedures, business & financial control processes, training and assessment schedules internally.
- The RM Global Category leader is the is the primary conduit between Procurement, Global Supply Planning (GSP) and Components teams. The RM Global Category leader also works closely with Manufacturing technology, Legal, Finance and Sales colleagues and works with the Procurement buyers to translate the strategic activity and negotiation into day-to-day operational requirements.

**What you will be doing**:

- Responsible for developing deep knowledge in the category assigned including global marketplace awareness, capacity understanding, technical drivers, internal needs and external capabilities.
- Responsible for developing the sourcing strategies and account plans, for the materials in the category for the 0-5 year horizon, ensuring alignment with component teams and business requirements as well as the external marketplace.
- Ensure successful execution of the sourcing strategies through direction and stewardship of buying activities.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers as defined by the strategic account plans. Represent Infineum as the owner of the supplier interface.
- Effectively negotiate contracts across all materials in the category. Understand the marketplace drivers, Infineum leverage, and use this to Infineum’s advantage, ensuring best available market pricing.
- Ensure compliance to operational integrity procedures, business & financial control processes, training and assessment schedules internally.
- Represent Procurement in technical forums e.g., New Product Development (NPD) teams ensuring commercial supplyability and cost effectiveness of purchased materials.
- Coordinate and/or implement changes ensuring flawless introduction of new suppliers/materials through collaborative working cross functionally.
- Understand the Operational Risk associated with the activities carried out and ensure plans are in place to manage where appropriate. (e.g., SSIS tool, high financial risk suppliers).
- Identify and implement continuous improvement activities within category.
- Continually review marketplace for new suppliers which could increase competition and bring technical/commercial advantage to Infineum.
