Breve Introdução e Sobre o Trabalho:
The general secretary department is looking for a Head of Legal and Compliance, Africa and Partnerships. The position is based in Paris, Boulevard Haussmann.

As the Head of Legal and Compliance, Africa and Partnerships you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the corporate overall strategy and playing a key role in shaping the company's regional legal and compliance strategy and direction for Africa and its regional partnerships. You will work closely with the leadership teams and coordinate local General Secretary teams to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, while also determining opportunities for growth, innovation and efficiency.

Legal
- Leading corporate legal matters such as corporate regional governance, internal and external reporting, related-party transactions, and tax issues to fit Danone’s model for the future and Renew Danone strategy
- Collaborating with the Corporate legal team and external stakeholders such as auditors to ensure corporate governance compliance
- Coordinate M&A projects including internal restructurings, external buy-side transactions, and capital markets activities, working closely with the M&A team, senior management and other stakeholders to facilitate successful M&A transactions
- As legal owner of the Africa JVs, providing insights and recommendations and contribute with the Danone’s Corporate Partnership team to the strategic management of our African equity partnerships
- Managing relationships with key distributors, including the dispute resolutions and compliance with relevant legal requirements and Danone compliance policies
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating cross-border commercial agreements (e.g. e-commerce and export)
- Driving implementation and execution of corporate compliance policies and processes, including third party vetting, ethics alerts, risk mapping
- Coordinating and animating Africa GC community’s forum on common interest topics

General Secretary
- Managing the company's license to operate by proactively monitoring and responding to evolving regulatory contexts across different jurisdictions, including addressing threats to the import model in Africa (e.g., support on external stakeholder engagement and public affairs for backward integration plan, establishing local JV partners)
- Actively engaging in project management activities: e.g. coordinating from the GS side production localization projects, Ecosystem projects etc.
- Collaborating with the various teams and assisting to achieve B-Corp certification
- Animating General Secretary stream on regional topics
- Identifying emerging risks (and opportunities) in political, social, environmental and business context

Sobre você:
More specifically required skills and experience are as follows:

- 10+ years of relevant legal experience in an international law firm/in-house legal team for a multinational company, preferably in FMCG
- Strong background in dealing with commercial contracts, corporate law and compliance across multiple jurisdictions is preferred
- Agile, curious, patient, diligent and autonomous
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills, fluent in English, French is preferred
- Ability to manage a wide range of topics and projects simultaneously
- Strategic planning and thinking outside the box
- Skilled at interacting with internal and external stakeholders with different levels of seniority
