Subsea 7 is looking for an expert **CAPEX Engineer** responsible for the erection of a new spool base on Sonamet yard in Lobito, Angola.

Spool base equipment are based on existing Subsea7 spool base located out of Angola,

Yard preparation to host these pieces of equipment is to be done from scratch: preparation includes, but is not limited to, ground cleaning, earthworks, heavy equipment relocation, building dismantling, building erection, energization, utilities connection, fencing, equipment selection, supplier selection.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Civil works activities
- Civil works (earthworks, armed concrete) design or design check,
- Civil works activities follow-up,
- Civil works MTO drafting,
- Concrete and steel purchase and delivery follow-up,
- Welded assemblies’ activities
- Steel works design check,
- Steel works MTO drafting,
- Site steel works activities follow-up and organisation,
- Suppliers’ coordination
- Technical specification drafting,
- Tender and supplier selection,
- Site suppliers activities coordination and follow-up
- Risk analysis preparation and follow-up,
- Use feedback from previous spool base project,
- Reporting to internal clients,
- Logistics follow-up,
- Drawings issuance follow-up,
- Planning and progress follow-up

**PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Mechanical Engineering degree with civil works background
- Site/factory experience is mandatory
- Experience in the Oil & gas industry
- MS office suite knowledge,
- QHSE behaviour
- Languages knowledge in English; French and Portuguese

**PERSONAL SKILLS**
- Strong analytical skills
- Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working
- Sound communication skills - able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision
- The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously
