We are seeking a highly skilled Security Architect Specialist to join our team at the European Commission, a prestigious public sector organization based in Strasbourg, France. As a Security Architect Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the security architecture of the agency in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect. Your responsibilities will include creating and managing security standards, analyzing solution security requirements for various technologies, developing organizational security technology frameworks, and ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Security Officers and Enterprise Architects to develop and maintain the security architecture of the agency.
- Create and manage security standards, design patterns, and reference architectures.
- Develop and maintain the organizational security technology framework.
- Ensure IT security control implementations meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Work with Security Officers and IT teams to integrate and utilize security technologies effectively in protecting agency information systems.
- Monitor and analyze trends in IT security.
- Develop strategic and detailed technical roadmaps for enterprise security environments.
- Develop business, information, and technical artifacts constituting the enterprise information security architecture and solutions.
- Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan the implementation of new or updated information security technologies.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's or equivalent) after secondary school.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in IT security.
- Advanced knowledge of core domains of IT infrastructure such as data networks, server and desktop hardware and operating systems, messaging, collaboration, storage, backups, and related monitoring and management systems.
- Proficiency in security-specific architecture methodology (e.g., SABSA), security architecture models, security strategy development, and compliance management.
- Experience with enterprise authentication authorization and identity management schemes (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), technical security controls (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management), cloud native security technologies, and network and web-related security protocols.
- Possession of one or more relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, CISA, TOGAF, or similar credentials.
