**Combustion Systems - Fired Equipment Specialist**
**Description**
Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Combustion Systems - Fired Equipment Specialist to drive growth in our Combustion business for our international clients in Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. John Zink International Luxembourg S.àr.l specializes in providing innovative technical and service solutions for industrial value chains. The company provides uniquely engineered solutions for Process Heating, Power Burners, Flare Systems, Thermal Oxidizer Systems, Flare Gas Recovery Systems, Vapor Recovery Systems, and Vapor Combustion Systems. The role will report to the Manager of Systems Technology.
**What You Will Do in Your Role**
- Provide input, leadership, and manage voice of customer with our global Innovation and R&D team to drive project success and feasibility studies.
- Work closely together with the different product lines and engineering capabilities (process engineering, project engineering, electrical & instrumentation, design, structural) to develop innovative solutions and capabilities to tackle the company's most challenging opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Commercial/Service teams and Customers to leverage our engineering capability to create mutually beneficial, long-term relationships and projects.
- Team up with our Service, Aftermarket, and Key Account teams to develop implementation and execution strategy for Site support, turnaround activities, and Unit Operations solutions.
- Contribute and collaborate with internal/external customers on development of training programs (site and classroom), and participate in regional/international committee meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Develop a culture of trust with customers and internal departments by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely responses.
- Develop relationships with the Technical Departments of Key Accounts / Sites, and other industry professionals, and connect them to our Engineering initiatives and opportunities.
- Approximately 20-30% travel (including frequent visits to internal office(s)), on a world-wide basis, is expected.
**The Experience You Will Bring**
**Requirements**:
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering university degree, or other equivalency, with at least 10 years of direct experience in the refining/petrochemical industry.
- Significant process and engineering experience with combustion equipment - flare systems, thermal oxidizers, and burners (process, boiler, incinerator, etc.), for use in the Refining and Petrochemical industry is required.
- Strong leadership and inter-personal skills and ability to connect with a multi-disciplinary, multi-national engineering team.
- Fluency in English - written and spoken - is mandatory. Any additional languages will be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively (verbal, written, presentations) across a wide range of internal and external customers - Management, Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project & Site Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
