Présentation de la structure
The Institut Fourier, together with the Laboratoire Jean Kuntzmann (applied maths and computer science), is one of the University Grenoble Alpes's mathematics laboratories. The Mathdoc unit which coordinates the documentation of mathematics for the whole of France is also housed in the same building.
Since its inception under C. Chabauty the Institut Fourier has always been a partner of the CNRS. Today its status is that of Unité Mixte de Recherche (no. 5582).
The research carried out in the laboratory is mainly in pure mathematics although there are links with other scientific disciplines.
The researcher will work at the Institut Fourier, a mathematics department of CNRS and UGA, within the project ANR “GAPR: Geometry and Analysis in the pseudo-Riemannian setting“.
Missions principales
Mentored by the PI of the project ANR "GAPR", you will be part of the research group "Geometry and Topology”.
Activités principales
- Research in mathematics, writing and publishing the achieved results on peer-reviewed international journals
- Participation in the seminar TSG and in the activities of the group “Geometry and Topology” (for instance, reading groups)
- Presentation of the achieved results in local seminars and in international meetings
Compétences attendues
- Mathematics: differential geometry, geometric topology, geometric structures on manifolds, Teichmüller theory, geometric analysis
- Ability to pursue research in mathematics in an organized and independent manner, writing mathematics papers, giving talks to present the achieved results, communicating with other researchers
Rémunération
