Commodity Buyer

JOB SCOPE Responsible for procurement activities within a specific category, in alignment with the company Purchasing policies and targets and will work closely with several functional groups and plant areas to achieve best in class results.
- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Manages relationships with suppliers, monitor suppliers’ performance and resolves supplier issues.
- Drives and pursues cost improvements initiatives, leads cross functional projects and reports savings on a regular basis
- Continuously develops and executes commodity strategy within the assigned category
- Reviews and negotiates agreements with vendors.
- Assesses vendor quotes and bids for accuracy and cost competitiveness using competitive strategies.
- Ensures timely delivery by providing follow up measures and expedites vendor deliveries.
- REQUIRED TECHNICAL & SOFT ABILITIES- Fluent in Business English
- Strong negotiation, problem solving and analytics skills
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Strong oral, written and intercommunication skills

3-5 years of experiences.

Bachelor degree in purchasing of related field or equivalent.
