**Context**
The EGO (Everyone’s Gliding Observatories) network and GROOM research infrastructure projects (Gliders for Research, Ocean Observation and Management) have structured the glider community and facilities in Europe and at global level. GROOM II project ended in March 2024 and the process for establishing GROOM RI is ongoing. ARMINES and its associated laboratory at ENSTA have supported the animation of the EGO network from the beginning, and coordinated the GROOM II project successfully to its recent end. ARMINES is now recruiting an engineer to further support the EGO network and the development of GROOM RI.
**Missions**
As part of the team coordinating these two entities, the missions are to coordinate, federate and promote the EGO community, and further develop EGO support activities, and to support the process of establishing GROOM RI.
**Activities**
The main activities for the recruited person will be to:
- Coordinate the EGO community
- Organisation of and participation to conferences and seminars
- Collaboration with other networks and initiatives (UG2, Oceangliders)
- Develop services
- Website update and maintenance
- Participate to the development of IT tools for the community
- Support GROOM RI establishment process
○ Participate to the drafting of proposals
○ Assist the GROOM RI coordination team for the dissemination
**Expected skills**
The following skills are required
- Master's degree in oceanography, marine science or engineering, or in related fields, including environmental political science and international affairs,
- Skills in computer development and programming,
- Excellent organisational, writing and communication skills,
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
The following points are desirable
- A doctoral degree in the above-mentioned disciplines will be considered favourably,
- Experience of working and collaborating within research infrastructures in the field of themarine environment is an asset,
- Technical knowledge of underwater drones and research infrastructures,
- Experience in data management.
**Working conditions**
Full-time, travels in France and abroad, including to international conferences ; possibility of working from home in accordance with the employer’s applicable rules
