As part of the development of our activities in the railway sector, we are looking for a:
**System Engineer (M/F)**
- Based in Villeurbanne (France, next to Lyon)_

As a System Engineer, you participate in the development of our electronic systems. The position is integrated into the Product lines of Alstom, whose mission is to define and design the IT, electronics and telecommunications solutions that build the intelligence of the trains of tomorrow.

The Villeurbanne site specializes in the design and manufacture of on-board and off-board electronic systems (control and monitoring, signaling)

In collaboration with the System Architect, the System Engineer is in charge of the system activities of the development of our products associated with their cost and time constraints.

**CONTEXT**:
The position is part of the Train Control & Information Systems (TC&IS) Product Family, whose mission is to define and design solutions linked to train control, monitoring and passenger information.

The System&Architecture entity within TC&IS ensures the technical consistency of the solutions between the Products and more particularly on the transverse functions, such as for example:

- Cybersecurity
- The network
- The supervision
- Maintenance

**ASSIGNMENTS**:
The System Engineer imagines technical solutions during product development.

Its main missions are:

- Collect internal (Rolling Stocks) and external (Client, Standards) needs,
- Describe operational contexts
- Perform the functional analysis of the System
- Define the specifications responding to the previous analyses. This covers both interfaces, performance, etc. according to stakeholders needs
- Define the architecture of the System and make arbitration proposals for the major technical choices.
- Allocate requirements to different Products
- Follow the development (management of evolutions and configurations)
- Provide the necessary support during the integration of Products and during their validation on System issues
- Identify technical risks
- Organize, prepare and conduct design reviews
- Analyze technical problems and propose solutions.

**PROFILE**:
(M/F) graduate of a Bac+5 training in computer science/electronics of the Engineering School type or equivalent, you have acquired significant experience of at least 5 years in the specification of systems. You have skills in system modeling (SysML for example). You ideally have experience in the railway sector.

A "multi-knowledge" profile, particularly in products relating to security, cybersecurity and networks, will be highly appreciated. Knowledge of Hardware and Software is a plus.

Ability to synthesize, adaptability, rigor are assets to succeed in this position. You know how to work in a team, and have a technical curiosity with a sense of initiative.

You are fluent in English.
