General Accountant

Description

Under the responsibility of the team leader based in Germany, you oversee the general ledger accounts of one or several French subsidiaries from the group. You perform below listed tasks (among other) while ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies & principles (FR GAAP & IFRS):

- Accounting entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts (Balance sheet and P&L)
- Monthly / quarterly / yearly reporting (IFRS)
- Preparation of all due tax returns (VAT, annual returns, CIT down payment, etc.)
- Preparation of the financial statements

You are the point of contact for different stakeholders such as the internal/external auditors, the business controllers, general managers, the tax administration, account payable / receivable team, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor or master’s degree in finance / Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (or in an accounting firm)
- Excellent excel skills are key
- Good knowledge of accounting principles (FR GAAP / IFRS)
- Experience in working with an ERP system, preferably SAP

- Fluent in English and French
