Job Summary

LMR naturals by IFF, a leader in natural extracts for flavors, fragrances and cosmetics, develops tailor-made natural ingredients in accordance with these fundamental values: pure, transparent and natural.

To strengthen the technical department, the company is looking for a coordinator, expert in extraction and analysis of natural products, able to provide high-quality support to operations and to participate in the management of the portfolio. The new collaborator will be under the supervision of the Technical manager.

We are looking for someone who
- Analyzes natural ingredients by different techniques (physicochemical analysis, GC/MS, GC/FID, HPLC, LCMS, ) and participates in olfactive evaluation,
- Provides in-depth technical support to operations (production, quality control and planning) by participating in:
o sourcing of raw materials (communication with suppliers in case of technical issue, adaptation of operating process, blend of batches, authenticity check )

o resolution of production issue (bibliographic literature, additional analysis, trial at lab-scale,)

o dynamic management of blocked or slow-moving batches by studying potential reworks with different extraction techniques (filtration, distillation, extraction,...) or by refining potential of use with regulatory teams and technical perfumers/flavorists

o general process improvement and support during industrial transfer from R&D to operations
- Provides an additional support on topics related to portfolio management and valorization by participating in:
o quality comparison, to highlight the most differentiating qualities to be promoted, or to select the best alternatives to support our customers in case of ingredient discontinuation

o data management to maintain accurate information in internal database
- Reports and communicates easily

Knowledge and Know-How:
- Good knowledge in natural raw materials and aromatic ingredients- 2-3 years experience in analytical chemistry- 2-3 years experience in natural extraction processes- Fluent in French and able to work in English- Sensitivity to good manufacturing process and safety instructions- Sensitivity to biodiversity and environmental concerns
