**Purpose of the Job**:

- Specifying either coupling or gangway components and leading the engineering studies to reach their required performances

**Missions**:

- Supporting the technical teams in the tender and project phase
- Writing the technical specifications in collaboration with the Train Design Engineer and the Train System Engineer
- Validating clause by clause returned by suppliers
- Managing the follow-up of Alstom and end-customer requirements
- Ensuring the interface between suppliers and Alstom technical teams
- Managing the design of suppliers to ensure compliance with Alstom specifications, with regular trips in France and abroad
- Participating to design reviews with project teams
- Managing the supplier validation plans
- Participating in First Article Inspections with project teams and end-customer
- Supporting the technical teams during the assembly phase on the train
- Supporting the technical teams during the train validation phase
- Supporting the technical teams until the end of the warranty
- Capitalizing on feedback and ensuring a technological watch
- Promoting the renewal of standard products between projects
- Following the cost of its studies on each project in relation to the allocated budget
- Managing its workload according to the priorities of the different projects

**Required skills & competencies**:

- Good knowledge on mechanical design, preferentially also from railway engineering
- Skills in time management and writing
- Very good agility and collaboration
- Dynamic, proactive and autonomy
- Product & customer oriented
- Organized and structured with a practical approach
- Ease of communication and good interpersonal relations, including with a third party (end-customer)
- Fluent in English and in French
- Pack Office Knowledge
- CAD software, ideally CATIA
- Requirement management software, ideally Doors
