As a Sales Trainee you will serve as a support for the Sales Manager and is a point of contact between customers and hotel’s team as required. In this role, the Sales Trainee debuts sales research, understands Hospitality market to conduct prospection facing techniques, administrative tasks, to maximize revenue and build customer loyalty.

**Scope of work**
- Evaluate, qualify, and respond as necessary to sales leads in a professional and timely manner and arrange appointments for the Sales Manager.
- Generate contracts to finalize sales transactions accordingly
- Ensure business is transitioned to designated property appropriately and in a timely manner for proper service
- Participate on operational actions of hotel: activation programs, events, marketing, communication, as appropriate
- Understand and participate in competitive intelligence and keep constantly informed of market trends
- Join sales managers on sales calls, as appropriate. Participate in certain business trips as appropriate.
- Provide support, participate in sales program/event coordination, reporting support, and/or general administrative support, as needed.
- Prepare, edit and proofread written documents (e.g. business letters, memoranda, reports, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Creating proposals
- Handling the follow ups in order to convert the business
- Collecting the details for groups and events
- Creating and sending BEO to the operations team
- Assisting the Sales Manager in prospection
- Assisting on sales actions & events

**Building Successful Relationships**
- Works collaboratively to support Sales Manager to establish coordinated sales efforts that are complementary, and not duplicative.
- Supports the hotel’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
- Coordinates with Sales Manager to understand needs and priorities of stakeholder hotels to identify focus areas.

- Language Requirements: French (fluent with business proficiency), English (fluent with business proficiency). Other languages appreciated
- Education and Professional Certification:_
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year’ experience in Sales and Marketing, Guest Services, Front Desk or related professional area OR a 2 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management required.

L’apprenti(e) en Commercial, sert de support au directeur des ventes et est un point de contact entre les clients et l'équipe de l'hôtel. Dans ce rôle, l’apprenti(e) débute dans le métier, comprend le marché de l'hôtellerie pour mener des techniques de prospection physique/terrain ou téléphonique, des tâches administratives, pour maximiser les revenus et fidéliser la clientèle.
