**Job description**:
At Enchanted we are making robots that move and act around people in dynamic environments. The robot needs to understand how to navigate and manipulate the environment while efficiently avoiding obstacles. Localization and mapping is, of course, key here.
In this role, you will contribute to developments that improve the capability of our robot to build a representation of the environment around it and localize itself accuretly in it. Several constraints make this challenging, notably the scarcity of computational power and memory resources in addition to the limited overall budget.
We are looking for a senior SLAM engineer capable of analysing these challenges and proposing solutions on how best to approach them.
**Main missions**
- Assiting in architectural decisions
- Assisting in sensors selection given budget constraints.
- Developing real-time capable localization algorithms fusing image data with other sensors such as IMU, depth sensors, etc.
- Running everything on-board given the computational and memory constraints.
- Working in a lean and cross-functional team.
- Assisting the team in tertiary tasks if needed. This could include the development of software quality control tools and other supportive software tools.
**Profile**:
- A relevant engineering or computer science degree (Bac+5).
- 5+ years working experience in SLAM and state estimation.
- Experience in place recognition and re-localization is a plus.
- Experience in embedded C++ development.
- Python
- Experience in developing a product is plus. and cuda programming skills are a plus
