Postdoc Position

The postdoctoral researcher will join the LEMNA research center in Nantes (France) to work on a research project funded by the Région Pays de la Loire. The project aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the challenges that the ECB will face in the wake of climate change. The project’s novelty and ambition rest on its complementary approaches and original data, that is, the combination of distinct data - climate and price data-, and distinct approaches - theoretical and empirical. The methodological part of the project adopts techniques from applied macroeconomic and macroeconometric modelling (local projections, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model). The applied part of the project has the objective to assess how climate change affects the sustainability of the euro area and the implications in terms of ECB monetary policy effectiveness.

**Qualifications**
- Applicants must demonstrate strong writing and speaking skills in English. Prior knowledge of French is an advantage (but not a necessity).
- Experience in conducting theoretical and/or applied research using both analytical and numerical methods in one or more of the following areas is requested:

- Macroeconometric modelling
- Applied macroeconomics

**Working conditions**

The selected applicant is expected to begin his/her assignment in May 2023 the latest. Gross salary will be competitive with other European research and academic institutions. The researcher will be based in Nantes (on the site of Nantes University).
