YOUR ROLE

The Solution Design Professional role in CLL provides supply chain expertise to understand/analyse the customer needs and work with stakeholders to create a costed solution design. This could be:

- a bid for new customer work
- a standalone piece of consultancy for a customer
- a continuous improvement activity for an existing customer

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Support (and sometimes lead) CLL responses to customer RFP/RFQ opportunities: listen/read to understand the needs of the customers and collaborate with CEVA stakeholders to design a costed solution proposal that meets those needs
- Provide customers or other CLL functions (BD, ProdDev, Ops, Impl) with expertise in supply chain management, networks, processes, systems, and optimization; including the ability to analyze the current state and design/re-engineer a better solution
- Manage multiple small projects in parallel to meet agreed targets and manage own time to be effective and productive
- Travel to customer or CEVA sites to support Solution Design activities, if it has been agreed that these activities cannot be effectively completed on MS Teams
- Develop relationships with CEVA sector/regional BD teams
- Develop relationships with the SD teams for other CEVA products
- Develop knowledge of logistics solutions from CLL, other CEVA products, CMA-CGM, the logistics industry, other industries (in order of decreasing priority)
- Develop and maintain CLL knowledge base by documenting/updating case studies and best practices (e.g. supply chain management processes, quantitative supply chain analysis/optimization techniques, supply chain systems, etc)

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Science/Engineering.
- 1-5 years in a non-managerial role focussed on Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Awareness of basic business principles (cost drivers, revenue, and profit)
- Awareness of supply chain modelling, design, and management
- Awareness of international supply chain solutions and value adding services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial/business curiosity
- Understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain Management principles
- Competent user of basic IT productivity tools (e.g. MS Outlook/Teams/Excel/Word)
