As a Pilot at Les Bateaux Belmond, A Belmond boat, you ensure smooth operations of our boats and delivering unforgettable cruises to our guests. **Primary Responsibilities Include**:
- Navigating daily according to the transmitted route
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat on a daily basis
- Working as a team with the Matelot
- Ensuring that all boat equipment are maintained in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues
You need to be able to cruise on Canal and River.
**Requirements**:
**What You Bring**:
- Strong interest in the river navigation environment
- Hold appropriate certifications or licenses to practice as a Pilot
- Friendly and approachable attitude; ability to communication clearly, listen attentively, and work well within a team
- Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.

**Trains & Cruises: Les Bateaux Belmond**
A fleet of seven luxurious barges - or floating villas - make up Les Bateaux Belmond. Cruising along the sun-dappled waterways of France, they offer slow travel at its finest. Each elegant boat has been designed with thoughtful details that connect to the locale. Guests enjoy the services of a private crew, dedicated guide, personal chef and a whole host of exclusive experiences, including wine tastings and château visits. Aboard Coquelicot - the newest vessel in the fleet - Belmond’s partnership with Champagne Maison Ruinart means guests enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the vineyards and an exclusive lunch on board, prepared by Ruinart’s chef.
