Junior Hseq Advisor

This role is to support the DeepOcean Africa (DOAF) Hygiene Security Environment Quality Safety (HSEQS) Team in the maintenance of HSEQ systems, generation of reports and key HSEQ activities locally in the Sète Office (34, France). The role also offers potential development path to deliver key HSEQ support within projects and operations in accordance with the HSEQ management system, adopted codes, standards, best practice and country specific legislation. Offering wider exposure to our Africa regional worksites.

YOUR KEY TASKS

Office HSEQ

Support office risk assessment reviews and action close out

Co-ordiante quarterly HSEQ meeting

Act as a HSEQ focal point for observations

Support warehouse/workshop HSEQ activities

To periodically review risk assessments to confirm compliance and applicability

Reporting

Monitor the HSEQ Synergi Life system and follow up to open actions

To support the HSEQ team in elements of internal and external audits in support of the intern assurance plan and Project / Operation delivery as directed.

To act as a focal point for the identification, recording, investigation and follow up of HSE events in the Sète office and workshop.

Project and Operational Support

To assist the HSEQS Manager / Engineers and provide governance and operational HSEQ support required for projects and worksites / offices

Draft development of Project HSEQ document deliverables (HSE Plan / ENC / Bridging Document)

Deliver DeepOocean induction and general Health and Safety training to personnel and Sub-Contractors

Training and Competency

To deliver HSE training courses as required.

To ensure the HSE induction process for all personnel is relevant and implemented on worksites.

To continually promote and present the HSE culture and values of DeepOcean at departmental and client level.

FORMAL EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

**High school Diploma**: BAC (Baccalauréat)

Higher education or equivalent experience or other relevant education

Proficiency in english (spoken, read end written)

Understanding of Management Systems, HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application, Auditing, Inspection, Incident Management and Emergency Response (desirable)

Skilled with all Microsoft Office PackagesBasic knowledge of Business Systems, HSEQ Standards and Guidence

Proven ability to self manage assigned tasks
