**_Context of position:_**
- Privately funded, newcleo was launched in 2021 to be an innovator in the field of nuclear energy. Its mission is to generate safe, clean, economic and practically inexhaustible energy for the world, through a radically innovative combination of existing, accessible technologies._
- With visionary co-founders, newcleo capitalizes on thirty years of R&D activity in metal-cooled fast reactors and liquid-lead cooling systems, and our senior management and advisory team can boast hundreds of years in cumulative hands-on experience._
- newcleo is ready to develop a new, sustainable, and completely safe way of generating nuclear energy that will help humanity to zero emissions, and to the mitigation of global warming. newcleo is also working to significantly invest in MOX fuel manufacturing in developed countries, extracting energy from the current nuclear industry by-products. _
- newcleo’s immediate focus is on delivering a prototype unit 30MWe, a first commercial 200MWe unit (LFR200) and a fuel manufacturing factory over the next decade. We are building our team to meet this challenging and exciting objective._
**_Overview of the role_**
- Our Supply Chain team is responsible for supply chain development, Procurement, Contract Management, Surveillance and expediting. We are looking for highly motivated and pro-active Supply chain development manager to undertake strategic supply chain development and supplier relationship management._
- You will work as part of the newcleo France Supply Chain team and will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain procurement category management, supplier qualification, sourcing, key supplier management through liaison with colleagues from across the business and specifically in UK and Italy to ensure a global approach. You will work closely with the Engineering and Project Delivery teams._
- As newcleo is a startup company the role will require a hands-on proactive approach, the individual must be comfortable with early-stage programs and have the ability to work with ambiguity and change and be able to build strong relationships with colleagues from across newcleo’s functions and group of companies._
**_Missions:_**
- The Supply Chain Development Manager will be responsible for the global supply chain development across the different newcleo’s projects (procurement categories management, supplier qualification, sourcing, key supplier management)._
- The main missions of the Supply Chain Development department are the management of the industrial strategies, package plan against project’s needs; and suppliers panel identification and qualification needed for the delivery of reactor and fuel factory._
- The Supply Chain Development Manager will:_
- _Manage a team (about 10 people) performing the 4 following activities:_
- _Category management_
- _Supplier qualification_
- _Sourcing_
- _Key supplier management_
- _Be accountable for the main activities as follows: _
- _Consolidate project needs and workload by procurement category;_
- _Consolidate supply chain capacity to carry out this workload;_
- _Deploy by procurement category: make or buy strategy, package plan, identification of potential suppliers panel, analysis of risks and opportunities ;_
- _Qualify suppliers in compliance with nuclear and local regulations (with a lean approach to minimize supplier’s workload); _
- _Identify strategic suppliers and structure the relationship management (in-depth knowledge, performance monitoring, strategic alignment);_
- _Manage the supply chain crisis and risks events (failure, sanction, plant loss, supplier ownership change, inflation...)._
- _Be responsible for the following transversal tasks:_
- _Consolidate all projects requirements (technical, BP, demand plan );_
- _Implement team and systems capabilities;_
- _Develop the supply chain to support newcleo’s requirements where there are gaps in SC capability or capacity;_
- _Coordinate and follow-up the supply chain roadmap against projects delivery model;_
- _Interface with procurement and contract management to streamline the process;_
- _Ensure efficiency and quality of the supply chain development model through lean management;_
- _Promote a partnership approach with key suppliers;_
- _Be an interface with the project on transversal topics;_
- _Be involved in the deployment of tools, methods and processes;_
- _Work on various missions that may contribute to the needs of the project._
**_Technical & Soft Skills required: _**
- _Experienced buyer;_
- _Very good knowledge of supply chain processes (sourcing, purchasing, contracting);_
- _Strong nuclear technical skills;_

- _Experience in lean management;_
- _Strategic thinking;_
