We are looking for a **Head of Nuclear BU (m/w/d) **to lead the Engineering and PMO (Project Management Office) of the Nuclear Department within the **Final Control Group **in **Cernay, France **. (#LI-Onsite)
As a vital member of our leadership team, you’ll drive the strategic development of our valves and spare parts division, ensuring alignment with Flow Control France’s goals and Nuclear Safety standards. Collaborating closely with the European Nuclear Procurement Organization and operational teams, you’ll lead management processes to deliver our nuclear projects at top performance levels. You’ll also take ownership of the department’s financial performance, including P&L responsibilities, and report directly to the General Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the future of nuclear excellence within a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be**:
- **Leading the Team**: Guiding and supporting a dedicated team by setting goals, recognizing achievements, and fostering collaboration.
- **Growing Talent**: Helping team members develop through training, mentoring, and hands-on projects.
- **Shaping the Team**: Defining roles, identifying skill needs, and working with HR to recruit top talent.
- **Ensuring Excellence**: Maintaining high standards in nuclear operations, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- **Driving Financial Success**: Overseeing the department’s finances, managing budgets, forecasting results, and finding ways to improve profitability.
- **Building Customer Relationships**: Ensuring smooth order fulfillment, communicating with clients, and strengthening customer trust.
- **Collaborating Across Teams**: Working with other departments to improve processes and reach common goals.
- **Prioritizing Safety**: Ensuring compliance with Nuclear Safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture.
**Who You Are**:
You model high standards of honesty and integrity, gaining the confidence and trust of others easily, working through formal and informal channels to build broad-based relationships and support, negotiating skilfully to create mínimal noise when working toward a solution.
You tackle difficult issues with optimism and confidence and move beyond traditional ways of doing things; pushing past the status quo while distinguishing between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant making sense of complex situations.
**For This Role, You Will Need**:
- **Mechanical engineering degree **or equivalent technical leadership experience.
- Proven experience in a **senior project management role within a complex manufacturing environment **(such as automotive, aerospace, or a similar industry), with a track record of effective **team leadership.**:
- Strong technical expertise in product and production management.
- Solid financial knowledge, with a focus on management control.
- Fluency in **French **and **English **.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart**:
- Advanced education in Business or an MBA.
- Background in an international matrix organization.
- Proficiency in production management systems (ERP) and related tools (e.g., FLM).
- Experience with monitoring and analytical tools, including dashboards, graphs, and similar platforms.
