Maths Teacher

Bordeaux International School has a **temporary maternity leave vacancy** for a well-qualified and experienced teacher of **Maths** to small groups of motivated students, from Year 6 to Year 11, in a truly international environment. The position is available for 16 weeks between **December 2024 and May 2025.**

Bordeaux International School is the only school in the region accredited by the CIS (Council of International Schools) to offer bilingual teaching from Early Learning onwards, and in English at high school. **The Position**

We are offering a part-time, temporary position comprising 21 teaching hours (plus preparation) and 2.75 hrs of Admin / Exam Practice and Duty per week as follows:

- Middle School Maths (Years 6-9 / CM2-4ème) - 20 x 45 minutes sessions (15 hours)
- Middle School STEM / ICT (1.5 hours)
- Middle School Numeracy( 0.75 hours)
- IGCSE Maths - 5 x 45 minutes (3.75 hours)
- Exam Practice Supervision 2 x 45 minutes (1.5 hours)

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Creating interesting, motivating and differentiated lesson plans to ensure the progress and inclusion of all students
- Preparing and delivering lessons
- Evaluating student performance
- Maintaining classroom records
- Communication with parents, in meetings and via the school's educational platform
- Collaboration with teachers and other professionals
- Participating in general school events.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong background in mathematics and science education
- Experience teaching math at various levels
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in both French and English languages
