The Trade Compliance Specialist position is vital to ensure that the requirements and business processes associated with the cross-border movements, run efficiently whilst ensuring that any risks are identified and handled optimally.

**What will you do?**
- Ensure that all import and export activities align with the applicable laws and regulations, minimizing the risk of fines and penalties.
- Classification of products, i.e. commodity codes and Dual Use Regulations
- Facilitating import transactions - this includes importing goods from outside the EU/UK & providing classifications and instructions to freight forwarders.
- Consulting with internal departments and functions to make sure procedures are followed
- Liaising with and consulting with customers (internal and external to the company)
- Support the company's compliance program by participating in internal and external audits

**How will you get here?**
- Previous experience working with imports and exports in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of commodity code classifications.
- Strong customer management skills (internal and external).

- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, presentation.
- Facility to work on your own initiative.
- Comfortable working on multicultural team
- Ability to work with and influence a wide range of levels in organisation, establishing positive working relationships.
- Capability to remain up-to-date with the constantly evolving landscape of trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions imposed by various countries.
