**Job Summary**

You represent the Purchasing Function on new product development projects for products developed / engineered / manufactured at his/her facility.

You are the driver of the sourcing process on new product developments. You will be based at a plant, interacting with the local Product Development team, in particular with Engineering. Reporting to the Senior Regional NPI purchasing manager, you directly manage 2 people.

**Your missions**
- Establish Supplier Development programs to maximize value from incumbents and to identify and establish alternate suppliers
- Present to the Purchasing Organization the content of the future projects and plan the main activities for the selection of the suppliers and the delivery of the parts
- Evaluate the impact of the project in terms of purchasing workload
- Consolidate the Capital Expenditure Request (CER) for supplier investments and budget forecasts on projects at his/her site. Track and report product cost / investment for purchased parts
- Support the definition and agree on target cost for new product components in his plant and provide all necessary activity to meet target costs while adhering to the commodity strategies as established by the Global Commodity Managers/Directors.
- In collaboration with the Senior Regional NPI purchasing manager, coordinate buyers consistently with the global sourcing process in collaboration with the local purchasing directors and the Global Purchasing Organization
- Use global processes and tools to support Purchasing, Engineering and Product Management goals. Provide full transparency on sourcing timeline and timely involve on sourcing decision. Support the development and implement Commodity strategies in collaboration with Global Commodity Managers and Regional commodity purchasing.
- Actively participate in key negotiations as decided on a case by case basis by Purchasing Governance

**Your profile**
- University degree in Engineering (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent, further MBA and/or academic training in business/economics is a plus, with 3 years of work experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing global environment
- You have a good manufacturing process knowledge in the agricultural machinery industry field, and you understand what serial production is
- Strong Cross-Functional Thinking, Project Management and Communication Skills are the other key attributes required by this role
- You can demonstrate a proven track record of cross-functional project management, and the complete business environment (purchasing, engineering, quality and manufacturing) have no secrets for you
- You have full proficiency in Office, especially Excel, knowing SAP and/or Windchill is a strong asset
- You are fluent in English
