ESC volunteers are world-renowned experts; their opinions are routinely sought and their papers regularly published and referenced.
The ESC coordinates observational registries, creates clinical practice guidelines, and organises and endorses educational programmes. We disseminate robust and independent science through our congresses, journals and educational digital tools. We’re the voice of the cardiology community when advocating for heart-health policies, regulations and funding.
All of these things enable us to identify cardiovascular trends, address inequalities, share best practices to improve standards of care for patients

The ESC employs +220 staff, based in Nice and Brussels, who support ESC volunteers in the development and management of these activities.
The ESC is currently looking for a **Clinical Project Manager **for a undetermined contract, CDI, as from January 2024, to work at its headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.
**Major duties and responsibilities**:The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for managing several international observational clinical studies and registries from the planification to the publication. The Clinical Project Manager leads a team composed of a data manger, clinical trial assistant and a statistician and is accountable for all project deliverables for each project assigned. Each study is overseen by a Study Task Force composed of cardiologist who are volunteers, and the Study Task Force is chaired by one Study Chair. The Clinical Project Manager liaises with the Chair and the Task force.
- Leading operational activities related to study planning, study execution, and study closure of observational research studies and related activities.
- Leading interdisciplinary project team to ensure quality, timelines and budget management
- Ensuring compliance with GCP, GDPR, relevant SOP’s, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating the end-to-end process for executing observational
- Tracking study timelines and deliverables, proactively identify issues, and follows up on action items
- Planning, initiating, executing, and closing out primary data collection in collaboration with the data manager
- Acts as a primary liaison between the Chair and the team to ensure timely study launch, conduct, and closeout according to the project specification.
- Contributes significantly to relevant study documentation including protocols, CRF, statistical analysis plan in helping the Study Chair
- Participates in study data review
- Responsible for managing approved study budget
- May mentor more junior Clinical Operations Staff or participate in the onboarding of new personnel
**Profile**:
- Hard skills:_
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of qualification in life sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of work experience in clinical research with a relevant experience in observational studies, registries, post market investigations, or real world evidence.
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH guidelines, and GDPR

**Contract**:
- Undetermined contract based in Sophia-Antipolis
