Within SCOR Global P&C, SCOR Specialty Insurance (SI) is the central unit dedicated to insuring the business risks faced by large corporate companies. Business activity is structured around four regions (Americas, LATAM, EMEA, APAC) through seven global lines of business (Property, Construction Energy, Casualty, Financial Lines, Marine/Cargo and Space/Aviation). Clients in each region are served by specialized underwriters who rely on SCOR's technical expertise and client knowledge.

Specialty Insurance is recognized as a Tier 1 insurance and reinsurance market in EMEA. The EMEA Property team consists of sixteen underwriters located in Paris, London, Zurich, and Cologne, with Specialty Insurance Property Underwriting Centres Globally including New York, Singapore and Bogota. The EMEA property team operate together from Paris, Zurich and London and play a central role in cross-selling and product development. The team has built a diversified portfolio with worldwide exposure.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Select, analyse and assess property/power submissions, underwrite with a technical approach, negotiate terms and conditions
- Develop and maintain a profitable portfolio in accordance with the Specialty Insurance underwriting guidelines
- Build and maintain brokers relationship to maintain a regular flow of submissions, participate in industry events (seminars, forums, conferences) to promote Scor image
- Develop technical knowledge in selected industries
- Market SI capabilities and products to Corporate Risk Managers, Brokers and Ceding companies in EMEA countries and London market
- Produce and share informed business intelligence documentation based upon research and analysis of the portfolio results and market data.
- Report regularly on accounts and marketing activity
- Manage and Support accuracy and timeliness of data entry in the tools required
- Visit regularly our clients and project sites (approx. 15-30 days of business travel per year)
- Work in close cooperation and coordination with your colleagues in the SI network, participate in buisness intelligence and knowledge sharing
- Responsibly manage data recorded in our information systems to give an accurate representation of the risks subscribed and to allow portfolio analysis.
- Collaborate with our technical assistants team to ensure data quality and performance of contracts administration, regularly collaborate and exchange with the claims team and other internal stakeholders
- Adhere to compliance and legal frame of SI.

**Required experience & competencies**

You are a property underwriter with a former risk engineer experience or a risk engineer with field experience, in the insurance/reinsurance/brokerage industry, with knowledge of the large corporate accounts environment. Ideally minimum 5 years of experience with exposure to all types of international and regional property risks.

- Proficiency in the use of underwriting tools, ability to understand and assess the results
- Self-disciplined, principled and solutions oriented.
- Organised and able to prioritise under pressure, high level of commitment
- Ability to evaluate, condense and summarise key information
- Confidence to develop and maintain a network of brokers and clients
- Fluency in French and English and able to travel worldwide.

**Required Education**

Educated to degree level minimum with insurance qualifications as a plus.
