Global Commercial Banking (GCB) clients generally include Middle Market companies, Commercial Real Estate firms, auto dealerships, sports leagues, teams and stadiums, healthcare, education and not-for-profit companies in North America. GCB is one of the largest commercial banks in the U.S., serving more than 10,000 clients, that is one in three U.S. companies with revenues of $50 million to more than $2 billion.

GCB is organized by industry and geography, to deliver both local coverage and industry expertise. Our unique client coverage model and close partnerships with other businesses in Global Banking & Markets plus Global Wealth & Investment Management and Consumer Banking and Small Business, enable our commercial client teams to seamlessly deliver all of the company’s capabilities as integrated solutions.

GCB includes the following segments:

- Middle Market Banking
- Technology, Healthcare and Financial Sponsors
- Commercial Real Estate Banking
- Not for Profits

GCB International supports the corporate banking needs of our clients as they grow outside their home market.

**Role Description**

In order to support the GCB growth agenda, an Associate position (“the Junior Banker”) is open in Paris under the supervision of the GCB International - EMEA Market Executive (ME). The position will focus on delivering our full regional capabilities to our GCB subsidiary clients and executing the GCB International strategy.
- Responsible for supporting senior bankers in driving regional business development of GCB customers in EMEA.
- Support global account owners by working with relationship managers and product specialists globally to assess clients’ needs and drive marketing of suitable product and services by fully leveraging the Bank of America’s global platform, including credit and risk management products, cash management and trade solutions, debt capital raising, leasing, investment and treasury products.
- Responsible for establishing and deepening relationships with key individuals within the client’s management teams, and work with internal stakeholders to drive business development and execution of the financial services solutions.
- Support senior bankers in undertaking ad hoc projects and activities as and when required.
- Working closely with GCB EMEA ME on multiple projects and initiatives.

**Relevant Experience**
- Strong knowledge of the industry/market practices/trends and subsidiary banking needs.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and manage credit and risk. Basic credit training or experience will be useful to this role.
- Team player comfortable in virtual teams and with cross-functional interaction.
- Good communications, analytical and quantitative skills necessary in a front office role.
- Solid understanding of the core foundational products - credit, treasury & foreign exchange.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively across the matrix and establish a robust internal/ external network.
- Passion and desire to work with Global Commercial banking clients.
- Hands on proficiency in MS Office products.

**Skills / Qualifications**
- University degree holder with a minimum three years relevant experience.
- Foundational credit and relationship management background with good working knowledge of transaction banking, treasury & capital markets products.
- Good communication, analytical and quantitative skills necessary to represent the Bank in a front office role.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively across the matrix and establish a robust internal/external network.
- Highly motivated, eager to accept new challenges and able to work under pressure.
- Multilingual skills (French, German, Spanish or Italian) will be an advantage in this role.
