Financial Controller

We have an opportunity for a Finance Controller to join our team in Hossegor

As a Financial Controller, your challenge is responsible to manage aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, tax management and compliance, and development of internal control policies and procedures.

**Title** : Financial Controller (M/W)
**Reports to** : VP Finance

**Main Purposes and Major Challenges of the Role**:
**Accounting & Tax**
- Co-ordinate accounting and tax across Europe for all sales channels for all KMD Brands (wholesale, retail and online)
- Management of the accounting department team
- Responsible for revenue recognition and margin reconciliations
- Manage and comply with local and government reporting requirements and tax filings for our different euro based entities
- Management of third parties (eg accounting firms) and legal audit process

**Reporting and controlling**
- Support month-end, mid-year and year-end group close process, including consolidation
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Overview of Account payable and cash management
- Management of timely internal reporting across cost controlling, revenue and working capital
- Capex cost controlling
- Participate in the deployment on ERP/accounting software and Power BI

**Internal controls**
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

**Qualification, qualities & experience requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance and/or DSCG
- Over 3 years experience as a financial controller or financial auditor
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience with business intelligence software and integrated accounting software
- Experience within the retail or commercial
- High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, innovation and a common-sense approach to problem solving
- Ability to be able to identify issues and work through problems
- High standards of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and willingness to manage and support teams
- Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
