- French HQ (Avignon), possibility of Home office for 50% of the time.
- UK HQ (Haddenham), possibility of Home office for 50% of the time.

The Department
Indirect Procurement Department is responsible for the sourcing of the right suppliers, their management, their cost control and the underlying improvement scheme.
The Junior Buyer will be working within the Indirect Team, who is responsible for non production category sourcing (Facilities, Utilities, Marketing, Capex, Professional Services, Car Fleet, MRO and Logistics).
The team members are located in the main EU business Units (France, UK, Poland and Italy).

The Role
The Junior Buyer will report to the Indirect Procurement Manager.
In the beginning the Buyer will support the Indirect category management team in various projects involving transportation, warehousing, facilities and professional services. After this “ramp up” period of onboarding, the Junior Buyer will manage their own sourcing projects.
This will involve working closely with business partners to understand the requirements of the business, negotiating with suppliers, preparing sourcing cases, as well as becoming competent with the McCormick procurement process.
A key part of which will be identifying cost saving opportunities, delivering value and driving compliancy to the Indirect Procurement Policy.
A high level of responsibility will be given and requires ability to multi-task, demonstrate critical thinking and achieve deadlines. Good communication skills are essential as there will be a high degree of interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Create a strong partnership with internal stakeholders and provide support on procurement topics. Liaison with internal stakeholders to establish service requirements. Identification of improvement projects and cost savings. Preparation, launch, coordination, and analysis of RFQ/tenders/negotiations. Participation to Business Reviews, visits to carriers and other operational facilities to assess suitability. Implementation of the validated sourcing strategy as defined by the category leads. Support with the control and monitoring of the Indirect spend. Follow the continuous improvement plan. Market analysis and trend identification, opportunity assessment, conducting desktop benchmarks. The experience will be a valuable insight into a large Global company, its behaviours and practices, and the seasoning/spices industry as a whole.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

**Required Skills**:
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing roles within a dynamic department.
The ability to communicate in English at all levels both internally and with contracted carriers is essential.
An aptitude for planning and organization is required, as is a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills being essential.
