Reporting to the Wholesale Carrier Partnerships Director, the Roaming Coordinator has a key responsibility on Semtech connectivity strategy. The Roaming Coordinator manages current roaming agreements while continuously looks to enlarge the number of mobile networks available for Semtech clients around the world.
The International Roaming Coordinator needs to work with internal technical and support staff, roaming service providers and partners and will be responsible for the process from contacting the telecom operators, contract negotiation, testing and launch.
The roaming Coordinator is also responsible for managing the relationship with the roaming sponsors and other vendors of the roaming ecosystem (FCH, DCH, Roaming Hubs, SMS hubs, Signaling vendors, etc.)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build the list of potential roaming partners around the world following the strategy developed by the
- Contact the selected roaming partners and start discussions
- Review Roaming documents (AA12/AA13 and Discount Agreements and iUICC Aggreement)
- Negotiate pricing (MRC, discounted rates, etc.) with roaming partners (Roaming Sponsors and Directs Agreements)
- Administer Roaming Contracts, follow up on testing and other Roaming documentations
- Follow up Troubleshoot Roaming Tickets when following the escalation process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carrier, vendors, and roaming partners.
- Maintain roaming partner contacts and review and update agreements as needed
- Review and approve (1st stage) monthly invoices from Roaming Partners
- Manage the relationships with Roaming vendors (FCH, DCH, SMS hubs, Voice carriers, Signaling vendors)
- Follow up on Dispute resolution with vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience on 3+ years in the roaming industry
- Knowledge of basic roaming ecosystem (DCH, FCH, Roaming Sponsors, Signaling vendors)
- Basic Knowledge of accounting and finance
- Bilingual in English and French. A third language is advantage but not mandatory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Active listening, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Able to work with very limited supervision
- Attention to detail, initiative, good judgment, adaptability to changing work environment, teamwork, stress tolerance and resilience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
