**Job Description ****
Exotrail is looking for a AOCS Engineer for its space transportation vehicle. This person will be integrated in the project team for our GEO satellite mission. The responsibility will be to ensure the performance requested for the AOCS system during the mission from development to operations in space, including decommissioning of the spacecraft. You will be in interaction between Exotrail spacecraft system engineers, embedded software and space dynamics engineers and perform all tasks related to the AOCS in the spacecraft development.
The current space**van **team is composed of several technical spacecraft experts. You will reinforce this team and work with all members of the current team. You will integrate the AOCS team which handle the control of the space**van. **It requires a high-level knowledge of the architecture of a satellite, a true spirit of innovation and good skills for teamwork.
Your main tasks will be:
Animate and participate to the design of AOCS architecture of a space**drop** platform
Prototyping new AOCS algorithm that fits the platform requirement
Work with system and embedded software team for a good integration of the AOCS in the spacecraft.
Follow the development of the spacecraft from inception to the launch
Interface with subcontractors who provide technical support or equipment on AOCS

You will work directly with the AOCS Team Leader and the Project Manager of a space**drop **mission.
This position is open in our office in Massy (15km South of Paris) or our office in Toulouse (city center).
**Preferred Experience **️**
Interest or previous experience with the following are appreciated but not mandatory:
- Automation loops for spacecraft and/or control theory
- Hardware and software tests of AOCS equipment and system
- Python or Matlab/Simulink proficiency
- Spacecraft system and/or space dynamics engineering
- Interest in highly technical work, from the high-level requirements to the final details for manufacturing and assembly
- High autonomy and proactive attitude
- Pragmatism, risk-taking and accountable
- Good communication skills with fluent English
- Willingness to join the dynamic, vibrant, demanding environment of a start-up
