C-TEC is hiring a
**Joining Engineer F/H/X** to reinforce the Modeling, Shrinking and Prototyping (MAP) Team.

Within the Modeling, Shrinking and Prototyping (MAP) Competence Group, you will contribute to R&D projects in the aeronautics, space, automotive as well as defense and transportation fields, on topics related to aluminum alloys assembly, mainly with FSW, RSW, MIG, TIG and laser techniques.
Your role will be to:

- Conduct experimental studies for internal or funded projects in collaboration with customers
- Gather requirements (assembly techniques, customer issues)Specify, follow and in some cases perform assembly tests in the workshop or laboratory
- Specify and follow up on characterization tests on the assemblies obtained
- Write test reports, technical notes and presentations of study results
- Develop know-how on key assembly techniques for aluminum alloys by keeping abreast of new technologies
- Work with Constellium's technical sales teams to promote the use of new products and joining technologies
- Functionally supervise shop floor technicians on prototyping activities and more specifically on assembly

**Responsibilities**:
1.
**EHS, Quality and security**
- Contribute to C-TEC's zero accident policy by setting an example and taking all appropriate measures to ensure that work is carried out safely (full compliance with all EHS rules, LST, incident / near miss reporting, etc.)
- Contribute to Constellium's environmental objectives through, for example, the development of products with a high recycling rate or the minimization of the material scrap ratio
- Contribute to the quality management process by improving the center's KPIs and proposing preventive and corrective actions, updating quality documentation, etc.
- Reinforce the "safety" mindset (e.g. by conducting safety audits)

**Technical assignments**
- Understand the needs and expectations of customers
- Contribute to the definition of the project objectives through a concise description of the expected deliverables
- Design, follow up and analyze experimental trials
- Implement and support the use of new assembly techniques
- Expand scientific and technical expertise on assembly issues and technologies through partnerships with academics and suppliers
- Propose and supervise internships or PhDs
- Share knowledge through clear and quality reports
- File patents when possible and relevant
- Promote the development of its skills through international network

**Qualifications**:

- Basic knowledge of mechanics and metallurgy
- Solid knowledge of assembly techniques, in particular welding, and the associated physical phenomena
- Knowledge of the normative field associated with welding
- Knowledge of experimental techniques for the characterization of metallic materials
- Ability to synthesize knowledge and consolidate experience into long-term know-how
- Ability to innovate and propose new ideas
- Ability to interact effectively with international customers
- Work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- English and French written and spoken are required. A minimum level in German is also required to handle occasional technical exchanges. An international experience would be appreciated.
