TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
In charge of the Product validation in the Test Competence Center Pontoise, the Test Engineer will:

- Report directly to the lab supervisor.
- Analyze the test requests:

- Analyze the specifications, proposes a validation plan, and aligns with the test methods.
- Assign test equipment after Test Request and sample analysis.
- In charge of his/her test planning: Sort test and test tasks according to priorities.
- Perform the tests:

- Prepare the samples (measurements points ).
- Machinery programming.
- Perform the tests as per TE/ Customer specifications or international standard (IEC/ISO..).
- Perform/manage/drive specific tests for product validation and qualifications (Mechanical, Climatic test sequences, electrical ageing test, vibration ageing tests, sealing tests), as well as research & development on connector systems according to the current test. specifications of the automotive industry.
- Collect and analyze test results:

- Technical interface with the requester to relay and justify Test results.
- Carry out error analyses by means of various analytical methods.
- Responsible to the lab documentation associated to the test request:

- Write the test reports.
- Record systematically all technical observations in Laboratory Information Management system (DIGILAB).
- Insure the good working order of the test equipment:

- Identify the equipment failure.
- Inform the personnel of the lab in charge of the maintenance interface with the supplier.
- Help in Implementing the ISO 17025 quality approach in the Pontoise Laboratory.
- Support the ISO17025 approach with the laboratory and engineering teams and management.
- Represent the laboratory to the COFRAC organization
- Organize awareness and training actions for Engineering teams.
- Organize quality animations on workstations with the laboratory team.
- Lead the laboratory team in working groups on the writing of procedures and the requirements of the ISO17025 standard.

**What your background should look like**:

- Engineering/university degree (generalist, mechanical, electrical, material science ,)
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in various Engineering assignments
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- German language will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Culturally sensitive
- Project management (Planning management)
- Customer relation (ECE)
- **Softwares**: Labview, Mathlabs, minitab, LIMS
