**Role Purpose**
To support in the project development of our stores regions as needed, coordinating, and ensuring all projects are efficiently managed and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. To act as the project architect developing and enhancing store and counter designs across regions whilst also ensuring that existing and new doors meet the appropriate quality standards. The In-House Architect will have impeccable 2D & rendering skills using software such as Rhinoceros, Vray, AutoCAD, Revit... He/she will be receptive to regular and constructive feedback, allow adequate time to propose several alternatives and deal with various stakeholders.
**Role responsibilities include, but not limited to -**
**Project Design & Creative Services**
- Generate design for retail projects including signature stores, counters, and other concepts under the guidance of Head of Store Design.
- Generate design for specialized projects including office, pop-up installation and exhibition space
- Develop counter design templates for department stores in region
- Produce design presentation packages, including;
- Architectural Brief (hand sketches, aquarelles, collages)
- Concept Design Proposal (2D drawings)
- Design Proposal for landlord approval process
- Design Development proposal (including high level 3D renderings, construction details)
- Produce full-set construction documentation for bidding and construction, including
- Tender bidding package
- Construction drawings
- Specifications
- Review builder’s shop drawings and control derivation from approved drawings package
- Support external architects and other Aesop creative to producing graphic visualization drawings
- **I **ssue a Specification Board for each project to collect all major information (paint, materials, light bulbs, fixtures, vintage furniture)
**External Project Management**
- Ensure effective negotiations during the quotation process and contract terms with contractors coordinating with the Aesop Head Office Design team throughout the process
- Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained, ensuring the project is compliant with local requirements (signage, façade, disability access...)
- Draft construction contracts where required and seek approval prior to sending external clients
- Monitor budgets and construction schedule with contractors, whilst coordinating with Store Design Manager throughout the process
- Manage on-site construction to control derivation with design proposal
- Furniture procurement
- Work with external architect on project execution and be the first point of contact for the Aesop internal team, contractors, shopping mall etc
- Conduct post store assessments, such as defects checks with an emphasis on timely rectification and execution
**Store Maintenance**
- Conduct store visits for assessment on defects and suggest ways to improve retail layout
- Provide analysis of store rectification and store re-design requirements - produce drawings and documentation for actual work to be carried out
- Provide aesthetic / structural support to Retail and VM team on VM display construction or material selection
- Develop a strategic network of locally based maintenance contractors to support the maintenance requirements of signature stores
**Compliance**
- Collect, organize and classify all related compliance files on Agora for ongoing projects
- Coordinate compliance related tasks for minor changes and improvement in retail spaces
