**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
CFM is seeking a talented and dynamic Data Scientist Engineer to join our technology team.
Our investment strategies rely on low-latency systems that optimize the execution costs of traded assets. These systems can react to market events in less than a millisecond to capture the best opportunities. To accomplish this, we employ a combination of market data expertise, technology, and machine learning (see e.g. A new hype or a new hope? Neural networks applied to live market data - CFM).
As a machine learning engineer:
- You enhance ML-based predictors used in execution strategies,
- You industrialize data engineering and machine learning pipelines,
- You build and maintain the technical stack used for execution research (C++, Python, petabytes of data),
- You collaborate closely with quant researchers to create top-notch execution algorithms.
**SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:
- You have a master’s degree in engineering, data science or relative field,
- You are proficient in Python, C++, and experience using Linux Systems,
- You have previous experience with the Python data processing stack: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, etc.
- You are passionate about programming,
- You learn quickly, with a strong team spirit,
- You are fluent in both English and French,
- You have interest in financial markets, and previous experience in the field is appreciated.
