Intern- Stem Outreach

Are you passionate about MATLAB and Simulink? Do you enjoy sharing your teaching passion with others? If so, this intern role may be perfect for you. You will work closely with MathWorks employees and will have the opportunity to network with educators and engineers.

MathWorks provides engineers the tools to manage their projects by focusing on function and integration, rather than implementation (i.e. manual coding). By building models in MATLAB/Simulink, they can easily verify the requirements and functionality with simulation. The models can also serve as a common reference for the different project groups' collaboration and can be used for internal discussions and design reviews. Companies need the next generation of engineers to be experts on modeling and simulation. This is even more crucial with the growing importance of smart connected products in a wide range of industries. Educating the future engineers on modeling and simulation will help companies to tackle future complex problems and challenges.

You will develop curriculum material which will cover the engineering competence needs for companies:

- Leverage low-cost hardware to support the project
- Make the project as a team collaboration work
- Write the material for teachers and share it on MATLAB Central
- Proficient in MATLAB and Simulink
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for social media
- Undergraduate student in a good academic standing
- Excellent written and oral communication skill
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
