**Language Assistant Job Description**

**Overview**

As a Wall Street English Language Assistant, you are the face of the Center and the first representation of the premium experience that all Students, prospects, and alumni encounter.
Language Assistants are the heart of Center communications and provide a warm and welcoming environment for Students, visitors and prospects.

You will also be responsible for managing Student progress by booking their classes and interacting with staff, Students and prospective clients both face-to-face and via telephone as well as providing a nurturing, fun and interactive learning environment in the Speaking Center and building relationships with Students. You have a unique opportunity to change their personal and professional futures.

As part of an education team of Head Language Assistants, Language Assistants and Teachers you support and report to the Service Manager. You will work in synergy with the Sales Team to provide a premium educational experience to your Students that is personalized and meets each individual’s needs. Together your aim will be to ensure Students learn effectively and reach their personal learning goals.

The exceptional Service and care you provide will lead to Renewals and Referrals and the strengthening of the Wall Street English brand.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Implementation of the Wall Street English Method**

Your objective is to ensure Students learn effectively and reach their personal goals. Each Student will need varying levels of support to maximize their learning. Your tasks implementing the WSE
Method include but are not limited to:

- Teaching introductory First and Second Lessons to new Students in order to explain how studying works at WSE and guarantee educational control
- Administering results of First Lessons and Second Lessons in the WSE Learner Management System
- Carry out all CFP follow-up tasks or other tasks assigned by the Head Language Assistant and/or the Service Manager
- Giving extra special support and attention during a Student’s first level
- Assisting and guiding Students in their learning and ensure they are able to reach their learning goal

**Student Management**

You work primarily in Reception where you provide friendly and supportive Service and anticipate people’s needs. Your specific duties are:

- Receiving visitors in person and on the phone in a timely and courteous manner according to WSE standards
- Driving Student progress through proactively booking Student classes, thereby influencing sales and engaging prospects
- Managing all bookings and changes in the most efficient way
- Make First, Second and Other Level Follow-up calls using the given documents on a daily and weekly basis
- Monitor TOEIC, Linguaskills, and Bright sessions

**Center Image and Maintenance**

To ensure the professional image of the Center and of your post, you are expected to:

- Keep the reception area and Speaking Center clean and tidy
- Put garbage bins out at the end of a closing shift when needed
- Clean computers and material in the Speaking Center on a weekly basis
- Open and close the center when scheduled
- Inform management of low stock when noticed to the Head Language Assistant/Service Manager (office supply, water, coffee, marketing material )
- Get letters ready for posting if applicable

**Communication**
- Attend staff meetings and Language Assistant meetings when required to
- Transmit information, messages, etcto the appropriate staff members

**Observations and Evaluations**

You will both be observed and evaluated formally by your Service Manager/Head Language Assistant as part of your ongoing professional development. These observations and evaluations will occur both during your trial period and throughout the continuation of your time at Wall Street English.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Good level of English
- Fluent in French
- Computer literate
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Dedicated and dynamic within a team environment
- Readiness to work a flexible schedule based on Students’ needs
- Well presented

- Experienced in client/public relations

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: 1,700.00€ - 2,000.00€ per month
