**SCOPE OF POSITION**
As a Geotechnical Sales Engineer, you'll use your geotechnical knowledge along with sales skills to establish and maintain a strong, lasting professional network of clients in France. You will provide advice and support to new and existing clients on a range of our in-situ geotechnical ground investigation services, predominantly Cone Penetration Testing (CPT’s), for which a certain level of expertise is needed.
- You will act as an ambassador for Lankelma, sharing and promoting our values with an emphasis on high quality CPT’s.
- You will identify opportunities with existing and new customers and develop an appropriate strategy to convert opportunities to increase spend and build key relationships.
- You will help develop and deliver an effective strategic plan to achieve long-term growth in the French geotechnical market.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Manage a portfolio of existing customers and new customers, maintaining good working relationships to help secure continuing business.
- Make appointments and travel to meet clients, predominantly in France but also across Europe.
- Make presentations to promote Lankelma’s wide range of services, educate our clients and cross-sell to them in terms of the best processes to use for their projects.
- Work collaboratively with the Projects Management team and Directors to initiate, plan and develop sales strategies and campaigns to ensure targets and objectives are met and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify customer business requirements and goals, and work collaboratively and consultatively to propose services that meet their needs.
- Agree sales, prices, contracts and payments with clients.
- Procure third-party suppliers and negotiate with them as required.
- Carry out competitor analysis to understand their products and services.
Monthly report progress to the Directors and the Project Management Team to maintain open and transparent communication regarding working progress in France, discussing challenges and giving feedback from clients, new and existing.
- Help develop a strategy to increase sales from new clients.
- Work in accordance with the values of the company.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Geotechnical understanding of the processes we offer.
- Sales-orientated and driven to help achieve Lankelma’s strategy of expansion.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Fluent in French and English - written and spoken.
- Strong IT skills, well versed in Microsoft O365.
- A proactive style of work - identifies and acts upon activities that need to be completed.
- Full Driving Licence.
