The Nestlé Plant Science Research Unit located in the Loire Valley in Tours (France), is part of the Nestlé Research Organization whose main center is located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nestlé Research combines fundamental science at the highest level, high-end analytical platforms leveraged by all research teams, and strong capabilities to accelerate the translation of science into innovation. Nestlé Research published around 1000 scientific publications in peer review journals over the last five years, and files about 80 patents every year. Nestlé Research collaborates with approximately 100 universities or research institutes around the world. The Plant Science team, builds knowledge on strategic crops with the aim of developing new plant materials in order to deliver quality products through better and sustainable farming.

Ph.D. or master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience

As a Plant Bioanaylst, you explore and integrate genomics, genetics and phenotyping data as part of a marker-assisted selection strategy (QTL, GWAS, GS)

You select and integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to optimize the discovery of new markers and accelerate decision-making.

**Your missions**
- Evaluate the suitability of analytical tools in order to correlate genomics, genetics and phenotypic data
- Implement the selected tools and generate the data to support marker-assisted selection
- Analyze large databases, evaluate the quality of the data generated and share the results with the teams
- Identify molecular markers related to key traits identified by breeders
- Manage the different steps of the project (brief analysis, planning and implementation of activities, production of R&D reports and publications, internal/external communication)
- Bring your expertise to the different coffee and cocoa teams and communicate your results to the project manager/group leader

You implement and use IT tools and data processing software
