Engineering Quality Engineer
**APSYS for Engineering activities**:
Perform EDU assessments based on APSYS for Engineering MRMs (Maturity Road Map),
Depending of assessment results, to support the build-up of Engineering improvement roadmaps,
Accompany /support EDUs (Engineering Development Unit) managers in the use of lean engineering tools (VSM, DOPA,).
Monitor the use of Engineering standards through KPI, assessments (APSYS for Engineering), Métiers Dashboards,
Verify the level of MATURITY of capture and the ANALYSIS of the data that is used for KPI reporting
Support ENG to understand the root causes of missed KPIs to feed improvements
Focus should be on
- DFQ On Time
- DFQ Go On Time
- DR On Time
- K1 and K2 KPIs
- Fleet Reliability
- Number of Modifications after CGR
Alert in case of deviation, Manage corrective actions and improvements when relevant,
Support Site Engineering Director in Engineering Process Reviews, IRIS audits and associated action plans.
Quality Engineering standards / referential solutions improvement:
Support evolution of processes
Ensure (support) process reviews under ENG scope
Manage non-recurrence list issues and check recurrence in project execution,
Organize and animate REX committee and integrate return of experience in Engineering standards and golden rules,
Make sure that product-FMEA are applied for critical/new functions.
**Engineering Quality issues management**:
Make sure that problem solving process is properly applied and meet the objectives,
Make sure that Engineering team is included in Customer issues solving process (if needed),
Update Quality Engineering KPIs (DR on time,), and propose action plans for improvement when necessary,
Follow up action plans for improvement.
Provide training on any quality tool (QRQC, 8D...)
**Quality assurance in projects**:
Check consistency of the Design Reviews vs Project Risks,
Make sure that DR are scheduled, well prepared, held with appropriate attendees and that blocking points are highlighted and addressed through PSLI,
Follow-up closing of Engineering issues (ESLI, OIL,), prepare Engineering GR questions with PrEM, and prepare EMR before each GR,
Propose improvements regarding Design Review check-lists,
Check the quality of Engineering specifications towards Engineering sub-contractors,
Attend and prepare Tender Gate Reviews, GR for project developpements,
Contribute to EQM network improvement
**Audit for Engineering activities**:
Carry out periodic audits to verify adherence to process
Support preparation for external audits - CMMI, IRIS, ISO
Highlight/report major deviations/High Risk Area(s) and support root cause identification and iradication
Educational requirements
MASTER degree in Engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical ) or equivalent
Technical Knowledge / Experience
5 to 10 years of experience in Engineering, Project management or equivalent
Previous experience in managing Quality tools and problem solving
Knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications ) would be an asset
Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies
Fluent in English
Teamwork and Customer oriented
Sense of synthesis and managing complex issues
Rigorous and ability to deal with different projects and missions. Proactive
Job Location / Mobility
On site (VPF), some travel to Paris / some international travels
