- SO/ Maldives will open towards the end of 2023 and we are now looking for an experienced
**Director of Food and Beverage **to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand.

SO/ Maldives brings together a statement collection of 80 beachfront and over-water villas imagined by renowned designers, alongside a vibrant array of dining and entertainment experiences including two signature restaurants (Citronelle Club & Hadaba) as well as a beach club (Lazuli). Nestled on its own exclusive island overlooking the azure Emboodhoo Lagoon, SO/ Maldives will be a new destination for sartorial travellers, just 15 minutes by speedboat from Malé’s Velana International Airport
- You will be reporting to the General Manager and willtake on the crucial role of leading and implementing the food and beverage strategy for our hotel.

**What you’ll do**:

- Lead a dynamic pre-opening team, overseeing multiple specialty branded restaurants and bars, including a diverse events space.
- Drive revenue through strategic management of commercial initiatives with the leadership team. Your creativity will inspire the team to deliver beyond set expectations.
- Have a firm grip on the P&L and take ownership over the costs of the business, always striving to find efficient solutions whilst keeping the quality high and the experience top notch.
- Ensure the brand standards for the venues are executed to create a unique and signature experience in each one, including ambience, entertainment & product quality, as well as relevant PR & marketing strategies
- Keep close to market trends in restaurants and bars both locally and globally to ensure your venues remain competitive in both landscapes
- Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development and to ensure food quality and consistency is always where it should be & on trend.
- Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You will lead from the front and your presence in the business will be felt by the team and guests alike.

**What we’re looking for**:

- You must be technically skilled with a strong understanding of systems and hotel operations.
- 3+ years’ experience in Food & Beverage operations.
- Experience in running and managing multiple and varied F&B offerings within one hotel.
- You will be accustomed to working within a seasonal space and dealing with the challenges that presents.
- Someone who has worked within a premium F&B environment where fresh produce is key.
- You take ownership, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
- You are methodical and have a process-driven approach to tasks but are also flexible and calm especially in times of tight deadlines.
