The plant of **Montoir-de-Bretagne** (180 employees) is located at around 10kms from Saint-Nazaire and 45kms from Nantes and produces fertilizer (Nitrates and NPK). The site is a **high-level SEVESO** plant, certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 et OHSAS 18001 and handicap-friendly.

We are looking for a **Plant Manager** to join our Montoir and European Production team. Reporting to the SVP Production South Europe you will be required to lead and manager our Montoir production facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Aim to achieve excellence in the overall site operation (safety, environment, quality, production, inspection, maintenance, reliability etc) and to be a role model for outstanding performance.
- Drive accountability to a safety-first and continuous improvement site culture.
- Lead the local management team to actively maintain and improve government and external relations together with internal stakeholders.
- Share a trust relationship with the team, follow up performance and development support personal growth, secure workforce, succession planning and organizational design.
- Ensure good relationship and collaboration with unions, in order to create a good climate for industrial relations, while driving a performance culture.
- Relations and Legal teams and the Corporate Safety and Environmental teams:

- Follow-up and drive required actions and interaction and resolve permit related non-conformances as they occur
- maintain a constructive and open dialog with relevant external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, authorities, media, local communities, etc.
- Responsible together with HR for maintaining and improving relevant competence and experience, employee development, employee motivation and a talent pipeline.
- Work with the commercial, global planning, engineering teams to align visions and develop a vision/strategy (Road Map).
- Meet annual volumes, maintain and develop assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Analyze the need for investments, propose projects and oversee the progress.
- Manage a long-range investment plan for the site.
- Ensure cooperation with French Plant Managers and largely European ones to share best practices and initiatives and to achieve an optimal synergy effect.
- Review and action activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives.

**Profile**:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Natural Science or Engineering.
- Hands-on mentality, good decision-maker
- Strong people leadership skills and able to build and maintain effective teams and to lead by example.
- Fluent in French and English
- Good knowledge of the French context (authorities, unions, etc)
- Familiar with industry standard equipment and technical disciplines and chemical plant operations, comfortable to discuss technical issues and to drive technical projects.
- Knowledge of quality, productivity and product stewardship processes.
- Relevant experience (at least 10 years):

- in management in the (petro)chemical industry
- in relationship management with authorities and other external stakeholders.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic.
- Willing and able to travel on a regular basis (to other French sites and/or offices or other Yara sites and offices).
