For our Functional Safety team within the Central Technical Office (CTO), we are now looking for a junior Safety Engineer. In this exciting role, you will be challenged by taking your part in the future of Automotive. The Functional Safety team within CTO leads Functional Safety for NXP by deploying the needed enablement to the PL (Safety process, methodologies, trainings) and run the Functional Safety assessments of any HW and SW safety products in development. Besides of this, the team is heavily engaged in innovative projects related to Functional Safety (Software Defined Vehilce, Electrification, SoC, SW, etc..).

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

- Support innovation projects driven by the CTO Safety team
- Develop proof of concept of new innovative safety solutions
- Perform verification / Fault injection on IP (analog, Digital, AMS)
- Perform benchmarking on safety products / systems
- Develop system models (SysML, Matlab Simulink)
- Support Safety Architecture activities for Battery management systems

**Your profile**
- Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- Experience from 6 months to 2 years in a similar role
- Familiar with modeling tools (SysML, Matlab)
- Knowledge on Electronics, Power Electronics or Semiconductor
- Fluent in English language both oral and written to work in an international environment with colleagues around the world
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Open to new ideas and have a creative attitude
- Taking initiative to spot and implement improvement
