**About You**:
**Level: Senior/Principal**

You love to build useful things and learn a lot while at it. You're passionate about Nix (or similar systems such as Guix). Most likely you're a contributor to nixpkgs, or host your own private flakes or overlays. Your passion for declarative, reproducible builds extends to working with systems such as Bazel, Buck2 or Meson. Experience with web technologies or functional programming would be a plus.

You are fluent on the command line. You have wrangled development pipelines, test automation, continuous integration, and deployments in cloud-based environments. You are knowledgeable about software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies. You can tell accidental and essential complexity apart. You have worked in teams on large code bases, or have driven vaguely specified projects to completion on your own. And you know when to call for help.

You relish creating high quality code from the comfort of your own home. Your engineering projects will focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs to product specifications and production-ready code. You'll have the opportunity to ship code daily that will be used by customers all over the world.

You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet. You are a self-motivated, well-organized, quick learner, willing to share knowledge and participate actively in the open source software community.

Having overlapping working hours with your team is critical in a globally distributed setting. In addition, reliable high-speed internet is a must.
