**SUMMARY**
ANSYS seeks R&D Engineer II that will work in the development of new functionalities for our software. This role could be based in Madrid, Spain or Lyon, France
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
- Understand and employ best practices.
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
- Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
- Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
- Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Computer Science, or a related field of study, and Two (2) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
- Experience with C++, numerical analysis, object-oriented design, software configuration management, data structures and algorithms;
- Experience with scripting language: Python;
- Experience with physics simulations, computer aided design or similar
- Additional work location information: Telecommute work from home position within commuting distance to an Ansys office
