A vacancy for a _**_Human Factors Specialist M/F o _**_n Cockpit Human Factors & Cockpit Design Department in Engineering, has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in _**_Marignane _**_(France).- You will join a transnational team of around 48 people (based in France & in Germany) within the ETYAH department in charge of Human Factors and Cockpit Design activities for all civil and military helicopters developed by Airbus Helicopters. _
- At Airbus Helicopters, we gather in the same department most of the jobs that transversally contribute to the design of the helicopters’ cockpits - both military and civilian - from the understanding of the operational concept of the helicopters, to the physical design of the crew interfaces, from characterization of the Human Factors aspects of the cockpit usage to the modelling of the flight crew’s displays.**_We can split the overall the department activities in 4 main axis as follows: _**
- _understand the environment of the helicopter and its operational use by pilots (customers), _
- _understand how the human brain works (cognitive functions) and its limits when operating a helicopter from the cockpit, _
- _define and design an optimal layout of the cockpit of a helicopter according to, among others, the two previous axes, _
- _break down all the axes above into functional specifications (alerting function, flight monitoring, etc.),... _

**_Signicant experience is required on HFE (Human Factors/Ergonomics) in aircraft or helicopter cockpit design, in order to be able to immediately join the TVE (Technical Validation Engineer) & CVE (Compliance Verification Engineer) on ATA 02 03 with activities on H225 (& potentially other platforms).

- Some business trips are potentially to be expected (three times a year as first estimation) in France/Europe and, therefore, you must be willing to travel accordingly.- This new job opportunity is based in Marignane (France) & Your mission will consist in covering the above first 2 or 3 axes. _

**Required skills:
- You will have the following skills and experience: _
- _Master degree level (or equivalent) in the field of HFE ( _(Human Factors/Ergonomics)
- E _xperience in human factors for aircraft or helicopter cockpit design _
- _Competence in cockpit and avionics systems _
- _Experience in human machine interface in aeronautics is a plus _
- General experience _in aeronautics is a plus _
- Transnational experience is a plus (Germany)
- Experience in airworthiness compliance demonstration is highly welcome
- _Soft Skills: teamwork, agility, fluency in communication/presentation, ability to synthesize ideas and escalate them in agreement with the audience _
