**Your Role**

As part of the Symrise group and a world leader in the pet food industry, we have been providing high value-added solutions that improve the well-being of animals and the satisfaction of their owners for more than twenty years.

**Reporting to the MES Project Manager, you will be responsible for**:

- Working with regional operations managers, participate in the development of the Division's automation strategy and support its deployment across all our industrial sites as part of the roll-out of a new MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Ensure links between field requirements, MES system prerequisites and IT services to guarantee seamless integration of the control and command system at all sites.
- Monitor and ensure the smooth running of the schedule set out in the deployment roadmap drawn up with the MES project manager and industrial directors.
- Carry out technical audits of the sites to be deployed, in collaboration with local collaborators.
- Write the technical specifications for the design of the control system and the specifications for its implementation.
- Identify potential suppliers and external partners, then manage them during the development phase up to acceptance.
- Supervise/participate in the development of the control layer, supervisory views and man-machine interfaces.
- Monitor the coding of external service providers and the testing of standard and security functions.
- Receive and validate programs on simulation platforms (FAT) and on site (SAT).
- Validate test protocols to qualify PLCs (Automates) and technical documentation.
- Support factory functional tests, depending on the level of complexity of the project.

**About You**

**Qualifications**
- Engineer in automation or embedded systems, with a specialization in safety automation.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar position
- Experience of **SIEMENS automation** and **WinCC** supervisor programming software.
- Knowledge of** **SCHNEIDER and ROCKWELL PLCs and Wonderware supervisors** **would be a plus.
- Fluent English mandatory, French or other languages an advantage
- Willingness to work in a complex, multicultural, matrix environment.
- International travels 25-30% for onsite projects
