HID are looking for a **Engineering Intern** to join our Software Engineering team in France.

You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the Engineering Methods and Tools Team withing our Identity and Access Management Solutions (IAMS) business area, as well as multiple Engineering Software Development teams.

This internship will give you the opportunity to contribute to key projects within the team such as the innovative to improving the CI/CD infrastructure and automation using containers.

**As our Engineering Intern,** **you’ll support HID’s success by preforming the below**:

- Maintaining and improving internal “Active Builder (AB)” automatic testing system.
- Improving the CI/CD infrastructure and automation using containers.
- Adding support for AB to build software in containers instead of VMs.
- Improving integration of AB with other systems (source stores, package stores, SCA tools).
- Improving AB performance (upgrade to latest version of Neo4J and optimize indexes)

**Your Experience and Education include**:

- Master's degree in computer science final year (graduation internship)
- Ability to read and interpret documentation and specifications in English and French.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English and French language, both verbally and in writing.
- Very good level in Java/Python.
- Good level in Linux (use and admin).
- Familiar with source code management concepts and tools (Git)
- Some knowledge of containers (Docker/Podman).
- Other skills related to the technical environment described above are appreciated.
- Ability to write reports, specifications and technical documentation
